The Moorings Gallery It is with great sadness that I inform you that The Moorings Gallery closed its doors at the end of December, 2011 and will not be reopening. The Moorings Gallery was the oldest gallery of fine art on Nova Scotia’s South Shore and this venue of amazing Atlantic Canadian Art will indeed be missed. On January 20th Jose Antonio Valverde, co-owner of The Moorings, suffered a massive stroke. The premises have been sold. The website will remain with this message for a while. We would be happy to direct clients to the artists directly should someone be interested in the work of a specific artist. Towards the end of May information will be circulated regarding open hours of the Valverde Studio/Gallery in Chester. Thank you very much for your patronage over the years, Doreen Valverde  |
