Geoff Bennett

Geoff Bennett was born and raised in England and has been drawing and painting since he was old enough to hold a pencil. After five years of architectural training he was conscripted into the Royal Air Force and was trained as a pilot in Canada in the early fifties. Soon after completing his RAF service he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and flew as a pilot with them for twenty years. Upon retirement he flew for Transport Canada as a Civil Aviation Inspector in Moncton, NB until 1986, when he settled in the area of Bridgewater, NS. Geoff is primarily an aviation artist and was Vice President of the Canadian Aviation Artists Association until 2004. His aviation art works hang in homes, military messes and museums in Canada and abroad. He is a regular exhibitor at the biennial aviation art show and competition at the Canada Aviation Museum, Ottawa, having taken several awards, including First Prize in 1994. He also designed a commemorative aviation-related coin for the Royal Canadian Mint. Geoff will accept commission work.
