Once in a Blue Moon October 24th to November 27thThe annual
"Once-in-a-Blue-Moon" exhibit and sale opens on Saturday, October 24th,
2009, at 11:00 am (is that an oxymoron or what!). Everyone was so
delighted with this sale last year so we're doing it again. Gallery
artists will be showing some pieces that have been dramatically
discounted for various reasons (those with small defects, works in a
different style from their usual work, older work, work that needs to
be reframed, etc.) at Mahone Bay's THE MOORINGS GALLERY,. This
exhibition runs until November 27th, 2009.
Some treasures you may find when you visit: Michelle Yorke will have a sale on selected rings (regular price $16.00, sale price $14.00); drop earrings (regular price $10.00, sale price $7.50) and some drop necklaces, pendants, hairpins and large drop earrings. Nicole Anderson is including in this exhibit some text pieces that ended up having coloured resin that was too dark (looks black, when in fact it is blue, green or purple). The regular price of the text pieces is $100.00, these have been discounted to $60.00. Her triple banded fused rings are regular $120 and have been discounted to $75. Vicki Maclean is discounting a few prints that need to be reframed at 30% off the regular price. We also will be receiving work for this exhibit by William Rogers, the FibrEnsemble and Catherine Linsfield. All the work of artist Mady Thiel-Kopstein has been dramatically discounted due to the fact that the artist is moving to Alberta to live. You will not want to miss this opportunity!
